Expression of tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 results in loss of wing vein L3 and L4, which merge with L2 and L5 respectively.

Expression of tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 driven by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 induces extensive defects in longitudinal wing vein formation and wing patterning.

Supernumerary scutellar bristles are induced in response to expression of tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1.

Scer\GAL4ap-md544 driven expression of tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 engenders large gaps in wing vein L4 in 91% of the wings.

tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1; Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 flies have reduced wings lacking most vein material apart from L2 and L5.

Expression of tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu in the neurons inhibits neuromuscular junction growth.

Flies expressing tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 (carrying 3 to 4 copies of P{UAS-tkv.1AΔGS}) under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 have small wings with partial loss of vein L4 and both cross veins. Veins L2 and L3 are closer together than normal and the triple row margin bristles are shifter more distally/posteriorly. Flies expressing higher levels of tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 (carrying 6 to 8 copies of P{UAS-tkv.1AΔGS}) under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 have very small wings that show fusion of veins L2 and L3 as well as L4 and L5. Wing discs of larvae expressing tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 are strongly reduced in size. Flies expressing tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 show defects in wing veins L3 and L4.

Expression of saxQ263D.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 in animals expressing tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 enhances the wing phenotype.

A homozygous kek5fe148 genetic background suppresses the wing vein L4 phenotypes engendered by Scer\GAL4ap-md544 driven expression of tkv1AΔGS.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1.
