UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Adult females expressing Atg2HMS01198 under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 produce embryos that show a drastic decrease in the autophagosome formation at cellularization and show signs of organelle disorganization (the cellularization process itself appears to be unaffected). However, the embryo hatching rate is normal.
Atg2HMS01198, Scer\GAL4VP16.mat.αTub67C is a non-suppressor | maternal effect of majority die during embryonic stage | maternal effect phenotype of Scer\GAL4VP16.mat.αTub67C, mTorTRiP.cUa
The low hatching rate of embryos from mothers expressing either TorTRiP.cUa or Atg1TRiP.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 cannot be rescued by co-expression of Atg2HMS01198 (which on its own does not cause any significant hatching rate defects).
