Expression of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI>apEY03046 in the wing pouch abolishes wing margin formation in the tiny adult wings.

Expression of Scer\GAL4Dad.4>apEY03046 results in mitten-shaped wing.

Expression of Scer\GAL4salm.E>apEY03046 results in the loss of distal wing tissue.

A tuft of ectopic bristles is observed on the ventral side of the intersection of the anterior-posterior (A-P) boundary and the wing margin in less than 10% of adult wings expressing Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1>apEY03046.

Wings of flies expressing Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1>apEY03046 often form three-dimensional, balloon-like structures with an oval-shaped posterior margin extending from the proximal edge of the wing appendage to its distal end and back to proximal. In addition, anterior and posterior margins are not continuous at the tip of the wing.
