Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In these cases, there will be no "Export to Hitlist" button to the left.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations

Dp(2;2)E(var)29A-39A has no effect on the frequency of X-Y chromosome nondisjunction seen in Df(1)X-1-53B males.

Enhances the position effect variegation at the w locus caused by In(1)wm4 and enhances the position effect variegation at the bw locus caused by In(2R)bwVDe2 and Byron. Also enhances the position effect variegation of w seen in the P{wAR}41A insertion.

Effect on variegation of y in In(1)y3P and Sb in T(2;3)SbV studied: inactivation of y occurs independently of inactivation of Sb.

NOT in combination with other aberrations

    Enhancer of variegation.

Homozygous lethal. General enhancer of position effect variegation: significantly enhances the mutant variegated phenotype of In(1)wm4, In(1)y3P, C(1;YL)wmMc and T(1;4)wm5. Position effect variegation at the w locus is not seen when Dp(2;2)E(var)29A-39A is combined with In(1)wm4rv5, In(1)wm4rv6 or In(1)wm4rv26.

Enhances position-effect variegation of In(1)wm4. Recessive lethal.
