    Dp(2;2)Mdh3/+ heterozygote showed enhancement of In(1)wm4 variegation.

    Dp(2;2)Mdh3/+ heterozygote reverses the suppression of In(1)wm4 by Su(var)2-1, Su(var)204 and Su(var)209.

    Strong enhancer of autosomal variegators. Does not interact with with dominant Su(var) mutations: instead it specifically eliminates the expression of suppressors from the 2L cluster and has a more moderate effect on a few of the third chromosome mutants.
