Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In these cases, there will be no "Export to Hitlist" button to the left.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations

Dp(3;3)E(var)88D8 has no effect on the frequency of X-Y chromosome nondisjunction seen in Df(1)X-1-53B males.

Effect on variegation of y in In(1)y3P and Sb in T(2;3)SbV studied: inactivation of y occurs independently of inactivation of Sb.

    Enhances position-effect variegation in In(1)wm4.

NOT in combination with other aberrations

    Enhancer of variegation.

    Homozygous lethal.

    Other Comments

Spontaneous revertants of the dominant enhancer phenotype are accompanied by loss of the duplication.
