    The lethality of the Df(2R)k10408 chromosome is due to the deletion of the robl gene.

    Homozygous lethal.

    Homozygotes die as larvae. Mutants exhibit visible disc abnormalities: discs are small. Clones induced in wild type discs are abnormal: mutation affects cell proliferation so the clone size is small.
