    Df(4)Δ3M does not uncover hybrid sterility when heterozygous in males containing the D.simulans 4th chromosome introgressed into an otherwise D.melanogaster background.

    Males carrying Df(4)Δ3M mated to wild-type females give Minute offspring that are delayed in eclosion by 25.2 +/- 1.3 hours compared to wild type flies. The delay is augmented to 37.6 +/- 1.8 hours if the Df(4)Δ3M chromosome is maternally inherited.
