In contrast to wild type, Df(2R)ToporsAA homozygous spermatocytes exhibit highly involuted nuclear membranes with irregular perinuclear space. Nuclear blebbing is observed in late-stage Df(2R)ToporsAA spermatocytes, though it is variable. Blebbing is not observed in testis sheath cells, larval neuroblasts or the giant nuclei of the larval salivary gland cells.
