    Df(2L)Cenp-E141/Df(2L)Cenp-E141 mutants are majority lethal but occasional homozygotes are found. Those that survive have developmental abnormalities, including no ovary development.

    In Df(2L)Cenp-E141/Df(2L)Cenp-E141 female germline clones, a subset of oocytes exhibit defective karyosome splitting, with frequent splits into multiple masses, and mis-orientation of homologous centromeres.
