Hemizygous amd11/Df(2L)TW130 animals do not survive to late third larval instar.

Dominantly hypersensitive to dietary α-methyl dopa. Lethality is at the egg/larval boundary effective lethal phase. Cuticle incompletely sclerotinized and fragile. Sensitive to α-methyl dopa.

α-MD hypersensitive.

These flies show a striking increase in viability if they are also carrying one copy of Tcr45. amd1/amd11 transheterozygotes show partial lethality. These flies show a substantial increase in viability if they are also carrying one copy of Df(3L)TP32.

amd11/amd1 flies show an increase in viability when they are also heterozygous for Tcr40.
