      Hemizygous females produce eggs with thin chorions. Hemizygotes have rough eyes and thin scutellar bristles. Chorion gene amplification is less than 7% of normal.

      Eggs have no dorsal appendages and have a thin, fragile cuticle: defective in chorion gene amplification.
