      Shows the escaper phenotype (incomplete sclerotinization) when transheterozygous with Df(2L)TW130 at 25oC.

      (Wright et al., 1982)

      Some hemizygous adults exhibit the incomplete sclerotization 'escaper' phenotype. Not temperature sensitive: hemizygotes being equally viable at 18oC, 25oC, and 30oC (40-56% of expected). DDC from Ddclo1 hemizygotes is not more thermolabile in vitro than that from wild type. Heterozygous Ddclo1/CyO have about 77% wild type specific DDC activity and Ddclo1 homozygotes have 15-30% activity. Specific DDC activity of newly eclosed adult CyO/Ddc heterozygotes, as percentage of CyO/+ control: 76.5
