Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Homozygous larvae are small compared to their heterozygous siblings and die within 2-4 days after hatching while still at the first instar stage (their heterozygous siblings have progressed to the third instar stage by this time).

Homozygous clones in the wing and eye discs are much smaller than their adjacent control twin spots, and the clones appear to be eliminated by the adult stage.

Homozygous female germ-line clones arrest at stage 5-6 of oogenesis.

After six generations of outcrossing the lethality continued to segragate with the P{PZ} insertion.

Precise excision of the insertion reverts the lethal phenotype.
