Amino acid replacement: G150S.

G150S
Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
cytoskeleton & oocyte | germ-line clone
nucleus & oocyte | germ-line clone
Fully mutant germ-line clones cannot be made. However mosaic oocytes are seen. In these cysts, the mutant cells show an aberrant organisation of the actin cytoskeleton, nuclei of reduced size, and a detachment of the follicle cells (which is indicative of cell death).
CG748319/eIF4AIII[+] is a suppressor of visible phenotype of Ras85DV12.sev
CG748319/eIF4AIII[+], Df(2R)BSC600/PymSH1616 has viable phenotype
CG748319 is an enhancer of abdominal segment phenotype of btz1, osk2
CG748319 is an enhancer of primordial germ cell phenotype of btz1
CG748319/eIF4AIII[+] is a suppressor of eye phenotype of Ras85DV12.sev
eIF4AIII19 dominantly suppresses the rough eye phenotype caused by Ras85DV12.sev.
The osk and stau localisation phenotypes seen in btz1 oocytes are enhanced in combination with eIF4AIII19. The loss of pole cells and the associated loss of ovaries is also enhanced: penetrance of this phenotype increases from 6% to 31%, for loss of at least one ovary. Embryos produced by btz1 females with one copy of osk2 show a partial loss of abdominal segments. This phenotype is enhanced by the presence of eIF4AIII19.
