      effj2C8 mutant C4da neuron clones exhibit defects in dendritic pruning. Mutants show similar dendritic morphology to wild-type clones at the onset of metamorphosis. However, at 18 hours after puparium formation, the mutant clones consistently retain intact, nonsevered larval dendrites.
