24 hours after UV-induced nociceptive sensitization, early third instar TkR99Ds2222/Df(3R)Exel6213 or TkR99DMB09356/TkR99Ds2222 larvae show significant reduction of thermal allodynia (withdrawal responses to a sub-threshold 38[o]C probe) compared to wild type or heterozygote larvae.

FlyBase curator comment: Stated to be recessive lethal, however see Cook, 2006.1.31, personal communication to FlyBase for evidence that lethality does not map to insertion.

P{lacW}Takr99Ds2222 complements Df(3R)X3F showing that the homozygous lethality of the P{lacW}Takr99Ds2222 chromosome is not due to the insertion itself.
