      Homozygotes and heterozygotes show reduced viability. Homozygotes are sterile and heterozygotes are partially sterile. Wings are held out horizontally and at 90o to the body, in a position very similar to that of tx mutants. The wings appear normal in all other aspects, although the flies are unable to perform certain courtship wing movements and are flightless.
