The phenotype of hemizygous males is not affected by a single copy of Low1.

Suppressed by mutations at su(Hw), where su(Hw) mutation behaves recessively. Temperature-dependent suppression reported by Craymer DIS 55:197 not observed.

r phenotype can be partially suppressed by su(Hw)2 at 25oC and fully suppressed at 18oC.
