microchaeta & leg
microchaeta & thorax
At the permissive temperature males exhibit strongly notched wings, thickened Confluens-like wing veins, prominent deltas at the junctions of the longitudinal wings veins with the margin, extra hairs on the thorax and legs, shortened tarsal joints and roughened, shiny, somewhat mottled eyes. All macrochaetes are thin and delicate. At 29oC pupae fail to emerge from the pupal case. Not suppressed by: Dp(1;2)51b. Mutants still die at the restrictive temperature.
temperature-sensitive lethal;
Dp(1;2)51b, sno1 has microchaeta & thorax phenotype
Dp(1;2)51b, sno1 has tarsal segment phenotype
Dp(1;2)51b, sno1 has macrochaeta phenotype
Dp(1;2)51b, sno1 has wing phenotype
Dp(1;2)51b, sno1 has eye phenotype

Dp(1;2)51b, sno1 has microchaeta & leg phenotype
Partially suppressed by Dp(1;2)51b. Mutants exhibit near wild type phenotype: small deltas remain, there is some thoracic hairiness and the eyes are not completely smooth. Partially suppressed by Dp(1;2;Y)w+. Males carrying Nfa-g and sno1 show an exaggerated phenotype: have difficulty in eclosion and survive only briefly. Combination with Nspl-1 is less drastic.
