Description

Single base pair change in the 5' splice donor of intron six, T to A substitution at the second nucleotide of intron 6. The predicted protein lacks exon 7 of the maternal cact RNA and in its place has 5 amino acids encoded by intron 6.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The mutation suppresses ventralising phenotypes Tl, ea, spz and cact embryos. cactSu/cact+;eaD3/ea+ mothers produced 50% wild type hatching larvae and the remaining 50% unhatched embryos have a wild type cuticular phenotype.
