    Description

    11bp of genomic sequence within E(var)3-9 has been replaced by 16bp of unrelated sequence, resulting in a frameshift. This should result in a truncated protein containing 168 amino acid residues of the wild-type product, followed by an additional 24 amino acids resulting from out-of-frame translation.

    Comment:

    Approximate location of an 11 bp deletion and insertion of 16 bp of unrelated sequence, which occurs after the first 168 aa of E(var)3-9 sequence. The substitution event leads to 24 novel aa and then early translation termination.
