25.2% of heterozygous males show anterior transformation of segment A6 to A5.

Exhibits the Ubx effect: heterozygotes partially transform the capitellum of the haltere into the wing blade.

Ubx effect: transformation of capitellum to wing. Temperature sensitive period is from the middle of the third larval instar to the middle of the pupal stage.
