      retnRU50/retn1 flies eclose with only 65% of expected rates. retnRU50/retn2 flies eclose with only 68% of expected rates. Mutant females are strikingly resistant to male courtship. retnRU50/retn2 females copulate after an average 34+-6 minutes compared to an average of 3 minutes for wild-type. retnz2-428/retnRU50 females copulate after an average 8.8+-2 minutes compared to an average of 3 minutes for wild-type. male-male and male-female courtship in retnz2-428/retnRU50 mutant males is comparable to wild-type.
