Expression of retnScer\UAS.cSa in embryos under the control of Scer\GAL4sim.PS does not induce longitudinal glia cell fate specification. Expression of retnScer\UAS.cSa in embryos under the control of Scer\GAL4Kr.PM does not prevent normal neural differentiation in the central and peripheral nervous system. Expression of retnScer\UAS.cSa in embryos under the control of Scer\GAL4MZ1580 interferes with normal glial development and results in severe defasciculation of axons.
Hindgut boundary cell rows and rings are still present in embryos expressing retnScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4byn-Gal4 and they appear largely normal (the boundary cell rows appear slightly crooked).
retnUAS.cSa/Scer\GAL4retn-GAL4 partially rescues retnGAL4/Df(2R)tid
retnScer\UAS.cSa driven by Scer\GAL4retn.89, rescues the partial lethality seen in retnz2-428/retn89.GAL4 animals and the female resistance to male courtship seen in retnRU50/retn89.GAL4 animals.
