T97P
Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
Heterozygous females have ovarian tumours and are sterile. Homozygous females are fertile and have equal numbers if male and female progeny.
Displays a stronger female-lethal synergistic interaction with loss of function Sxl mutations (Sxlf1 and SxlfP7B0) than snfJ210 (amorphic). SxlcF1.otu can suppress the interaction phenotype. One copy of P{SxlcF1} in wild type males, even under nonheat shock conditions, recovers only 2% of expected males. 67% of expected males are recovered from snfe8H; P{SxlcF1} males.
snfe8H and snf1 fail to complement each other and snfJA2 partially complements snfe8H and snf1.
