Stage 4 embryos from mv3/mv1 or mvros/mv1 mothers show multiple centrosomes often in chains.
Embryos from mvros/Df(3L)R-G7 mothers show: a) aberrant mitotic spindles of different sizes associated with varying amounts of DNA, abnormal chromosome segregation and multiple centrosomes often in chains; b) reach the syncytial blastoderm stage but exhibit localized MTOC inactivation and loss of contact between nuclei and centrosomes at the cortex, leading nuclei to sink into the interior of the embryo (nuclear fallout).
Eye colour: dark.
