Heterozygotes with DrMio have reduced viability, deranged bristles, uncoordination and small eyes. Heterozygotes with DrME4, DrME8, DrME9, DrME10 or DrME11 give reduced numbers of pharate adults that often fail to eclose. Pharate adults display missing bristles and varying degrees of uncoordination. Eyes are no longer reduced in size.
