Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Gap between the dorsal appendages is widened.

Transgenic females carrying more than three copies of the grk+t9 P element are sterile. Flies with more than four copies are inviable. Two copies are required to rescue grk3 such that 90% of the embryos have wild type morphology. Two copies in an otherwise wild type background produce a small fraction of partially dorsalized eggs. Four copies in an otherwise wild type background produce a significant fraction of partially dorsalized eggs, and some severely dorsalized eggs. Few of these eggs hatch, and unhatched embryos show partial dorsalization, most evident in the head and thorax.
