      pbΔSal partially rescues pb5

      Comments

      The pbΔSal minigene partially rescues the pb5 homeotic null phenotype. Pseudotracheal rows are present in the labial palps and maxillary palps are normal in size and morphology. Small patches of aristal tissue are often seen on the lateral aspect of the labial palps. A minority of adult animals display a more severe labial palp-to-arista transformation. Some transformants with this allele show a partial labial palp-to-leg phentoype.
