Animals expressing wg^ts.sev at 17.6^oC have approximately one-third the normal number of bristles in the eye.

(Kon et al., 2005)

Flies expressing wg^ts.sev at 17.6^oC show partial loss of interommatidial bristles.

(Lin et al., 2003)

At 25^oC, flies carrying wg^ts.sev have the normal number of eye bristles (600 per eye). At 16^oC, these flies have less than 50 bristles in the eye and at 17.6^oC these flies have 150-200 bristles per eye.

Inhibits eye bristle formation.
