Description

Construct: 10.4kb y fragment (obtained from a y2 revertant in which a solo LTR was left behind when gypsy was removed by recombination) consisting of the gene and its regulatory sequences. A complete gypsy was formed at the single LTR and marked by deleting a 1.2kb ApaI fragment, extending from nucleotide 3990 to 5226, from the second open reading frame.
