Detailed Description

Reference

row flies carrying one copy of roH3 have both wild-type and mutant ommatidia, the mutant ommatidia usually containing 8 but occasionally containing as many as 10 photoreceptor cells. The mutant ommatidia either have fewer or the normal number of outer photoreceptor cells, and the extra photoreceptors have features characteristic of the inner R7 and R8 photoreceptors.

roH3 partially rescues row

Comments

A single copy of roH3 almost completely rescues the row phenotype, while two copies of roH3 completely rescue the row phenotype.
