Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Expression of dapGMR.PdN does not significantly effect BrdU incorporation in the second mitotic wave in the eye disc. Expression of dapGMR.PdN results in no phenotype in the eye.

Flies expressing dapGMR.PdN have a very mild rough eye phenotype.

Flies carrying two copies of dapGMR.PdN transgene appear wild type, normal complement of retinal cells. In flies bearing four copies of dapGMR.PdN eyes are slightly rough, sections of these regions reveal missing pigment cells.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Rbf280.GMR when combined with dapGMR.PdN can inhibit or delay S phase entry during the second mitotic wave in developing eye disc. The introduction of E2fsu89 restores normal S phase entry in the second wave. dapGMR.PdN enhances the eye phenotype seen in dapGMR.PdN animals. These phenotypes are also suppressed by the addition of E2fsu89.

Co-expression of dapGMR.PdN and Rbf280.GMR completely inhibits BrdU incorporation in the second mitotic wave in the eye disc.

Flies expressing dapGMR.PdN have a mild rough eye phenotype, which is enhanced in the presence of one copy of CycEAR95. The dapGMR.PdN CycEAR95 phenotype is suppressed by spenpoc361 and eye morphology is restored.

Dominantly enhances the rough eye phenotype of CycEJP homozygotes.

Flies carrying a combination of dapGMR.PdN and RbfGMR.PD exhibit extremely rough eyes. Expression of dapGMR.PdN transgene in CycEAR95 flies causes a rough eye phenotype. Expression of dapGMR.PdN transgene in CycA5, Df(2R)59AB or stg2 flies has no effect on the eye phenotype.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The eye phenotype of flies carrying a weakly expressing P{GMR-BZLF1.A} line is unaffected by dapGMR.PdN.
