Description

The repression domain of en (amino acids 284-338) is fused in frame to the ci coding region of ciZn.UAS.Tag:MYC which includes the ci initiator ATG and amino acids 440-684, (hence the zinc finger domain). Expression is governed by UASt regulatory sequences.

      ci::enZn:RD.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC; Scer\GAL4h-H10 and ci::enZn:RD.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC; Scer\GAL4fng-B flies have normal eyes.

      When ci::enZn:RD.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC is driven by Scer\GAL448Y a short gastric caecum phenotype is seen in embryos. When ci::enZn:RD.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC is driven by Scer\GAL4twi.PGa the gastric caecum is virtually abolished.

      When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 adult wings show fusion of wing veins 3 and 4, reminiscent of the ciCe-1 phenotype.
