      lz eye phenotype and tarsal claws are reduced. Homozygous females lack spermathecae and paraovaria. Females rarely accept courting males and exhibit an unusually high rate of spontaneous ovulation. Females genetically deprived of mature eggs (heterozygous for fs(2)2614041 or fs(2)2615051) exhibit increased receptivity to males. Ectopic expression of the sex peptide (Acp70Ag.Yp1.hs) also causes increased receptivity to males.
