Expression of tldA.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 in the posterior of the wing, driven by Scer\GAL4en-e16E, causes expansion of the posterior crossvein in 31/52 adult wings. In contrast, in 18/52 of these wings, the posterior crossvein is completely or partially missing.
When tldA.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 is driven by Scer\GAL4A9 some loss of wing margin bristles is seen but all veins form normally.
Produces a dominant wing phenotype when expressed using Scer\GAL4A9.

Coexpression of sogScer\UAS.cYa and tsgScer\UAS.cYa in the wing disc, under the control of Scer\GAL4A9, produces a small wing with altered patterns of venation. Coexpression of tldA.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 with these two transgenes is able to reverse the small wing phenotype and restore normal patterning.
The addition of tldA.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 to sogScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1, tsgScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6, Scer\GAL4A9 animals suppresses the wing phenotypes seen in those animals.
