Detailed Description

apttdf-PΔ4 wing disc clones lead to formation of small adult wings with blisters, as compared to controls.

Adult wings of apttdf-PΔ4/+ mutants appear normal.

Heterozygous flies show a dramatic reduction in ethanol sedation sensitivity compared to wild type.

Stereotypic outgrowth of tracheal branches is severely disrupted in mutant embryos. Mutants show variable tracheal defects.

hh2/+, apttdf-PΔ4/+ double mutant adults exhibit smaller wings with an ectopic crossvein, as compared to controls.

Embryos derived from a cross of wild-type males to females heterozygous for aretQB and also heterozygous for apttdf-PΔ4 occasionally have head defects (these defects are not seen in embryos derived from females singly heterozygous for aretQB or apttdf-PΔ4). This phenotype is largely suppressed if the females are also heterozygous for nosL7.
