      Heat induced expression of herhs.PL fully rescues male and female lethality. Females exhibit reduced fertility due to partial deletion of the adjacent gene, grp. Heat induced expression of herhs.PL cannot rescue fertility. Male and female her3/her8 transheterozygotes are lethal.
