      Larvae expressing pitScer\UAS.cZa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E show an increase in the number of mitoses and a higher percentage of cell death in the wing imaginal discs compared to wild-type. Occasionally a hyperproliferative phenotype is seen in the posterior compartment.
