fzScer\UAS.cZa, Scer\GAL4en-e16E embryos lose type 1 denticles. This is seen in all embryos, although at times, one or two segments remain unaffected.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL469B, wing margin structures are properly patterned but the polarity of hairs and margin bristles is perturbed, with bristles pointing straight our from the wing margin, instead of being angled towards the posterior. Interior wing hairs are also affected. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4hs.2sev, ommatidia are misoriented and the two chiral forms are not regularly segregated into the dorsal and ventral halves of the eye. This is similar to the fz loss of function phenotype. Has no effect on wing phenotypes caused by fzScer\UAS.N. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 in embryos, denticle belt phenotypes include fusions and mirror image duplications, reminiscent of wg weak loss of function alleles.
