Over-expression of apScer\UAS.cRa when driven by Scer\GAL432B causes a severe ablation of wing blade tissue. Expression of apScer\UAS.cRa driven by Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 causes venation defects, ectopic wing margins, outgrowths on the ventral compartment and a notch at the distal tip of the wing.
Expression of apScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 or Scer\GAL432B results in severe wing defects which are virtually indistinguishable from the severe wing defects caused by expression of Hsap\LHX2Scer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 or Scer\GAL432B respectively.
Flies expressing apScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL471B show ablation of the distal part of the wing.
The addition of apScer\UAS.cRa to ChiScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,Scer\GAL4ap-md544 flies strongly suppresses the wing blade phenotype seen in these flies.
The addition of apScer\UAS.cRa to apmd544/apUGO35 produces flies with almost wild-type wings, normal fertility and lifespan.
