Csp^U1/Csp^U1w transheterozygotes exhibit a significantly reduced lifespan as compared to controls.

At low luminance levels, the turning response of homozygotes in an optomotor response assay at 18^oC is not significantly different from wild-type flies. At higher light levels, the turning response is reduced by 50% and appears to be more variable.
