      When raised at 25oC both cluster I and II of the slou expressing muscle founder cells are reduced. At 18oC this phenotype is somewhat weaker, cluster II is more strongly affected than cluster I.

      Temperature sensitive allele. Homozygous embryos raised at 25oC show more segmentation than wg loss of function mutants and produce denticle morphologies other than just row 5 type, but only at a low frequency. At 18oC, the pattern on the ventral surface of the cuticle is almost wild-type, but there is limited patterning of the dorsal surface.
