      75% of embryos carrying grhhs.PA and heat shocked between 4 and 10 hours do not survive. These embryos become arrested during the dorsal closure stage, remaining curved and failing to elongate in contrast to wild-type embryos. A dorsal hole is seen in the cuticle. 46% of animals carrying grhhs.PA and heat shocked during the first larval instar stage do not eclose.
