      53% of embryos derived from dl null mothers carrying one copy of dl+mWT hatch. The cuticles are wild-type. 94% of embryos derived from dl null mothers carrying two copies of dl+mWT hatch. The cuticles are wild-type. Embryos derived from dl1 cact7 mothers carrying dl+mWT are strongly ventralised and do not hatch.
