wing hair & wing | dorsal, with Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096
Expression of ppanScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in the posterior part of the wing having a crinkled appearance and increased opacity. Ectopic wing vein formation, thickening of wing veins and loss of wing veins is seen. Regions of wing imaginal discs expressing ppanScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E show increased numbers of apoptotic cells. Flies in which one copy of ppanScer\UAS.cMa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 have wings which are slightly curved upward. There are fewer trichomes on the dorsal side of the wing than on the ventral side. In some spots on the dorsal side there are multiple fused trichomes, which probably come from single cells. Increasing the copy number of either ppanScer\UAS.cMa or Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 ultimately results in near complete elimination of the wing.
Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, ppanUAS.cMa has visible phenotype, suppressible by BacA\p35UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096
Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, ppanUAS.cMa has wing phenotype, suppressible by BacA\p35UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096
The wing phenotype caused by expression of ppanScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 is rescued by co-expression of BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa.
