Deletion beginning at insertion point of P{PZ} in Rpd3⁰⁴⁵⁵⁶ and extends to the amino terminal coding region. Approximately 440 bp are deleted. Conceptual translation of the remaining polypeptide suggests any possible peptide would bear no similarity to the wild type Rpd3 gene product.
