Expression of Mmus\Atoh1Scer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB during pupal development (using heat shock) results in supernumerary external sense organs on the notum and the wing blade. Ectopic chordotonal organs are produced in other regions such as the wing hinge, the third wing vein and the scutellum.
