Construct: A heat shock promoter drives expression of a truncated form of sog that includes the CR1 domain plus another 114 amino acids (and contains an additional 33 amino acids derived from vector sequences at the C-terminus).

      Expression of sogsupersog1.hs from stage 8 using heat shock results in a reduced number of neurons in the dorsal and lateral peripheral nervous system. Approximately 20% of the embryos fail to undergo dorsal closure.
